Why old dungeon lists are incomplete
The official wiki’s Dungeons page still lists only Forest and Snow in its older revision. The 0.15 launch notes add a full Desert dungeon and boss chapter. That version gap is the main reason a current guide is useful.
Desert tower mechanics confirmed in 0.15
- the dungeon is a large multi-floor tower;
- it has a Desert Dungeon Key and Key Parts;
- spawners activate based on your vertical position within a radius;
- special fire tools interact with spawners/altar fire;
- extinguishing the altar can collapse ceiling sections;
- the final area contains the summoner.
Current EA footage shows players crafting/using the Desert key route and then encountering the Worm, so these are not just pre-release roadmap bullets.
Worm fight
Official 0.15 notes confirm three details worth planning around: the boss spawns outside in the desert, it can fly, and at 50% health it splits into three segments. Since 0.15.11 the worm also drops the Worm Pickaxe — the only tool that breaks the final tier of blocks (dungeon material) — so it is a progression gate, not just a fight. Exact HP, drop rates and an optimal weapon are not confirmed here.
